OHSCER202A – Operate a front end loader/backhoe

Course Description :

This unit involves the application of skills and knowledge to correctly conduct routine checks, plan work, shift load, shut down equipment and secure site. Awareness of legislative requirements with regard to licensing and safe workplace practices is also required.

The front end loader/backhoe (LB) ticket covers license holders to operate a front end loader/backhoe with an engine capacity of more than 2 litres.

This unit of competency covers the functions required to prepare and operate a front end loader/backhoe to meet minimum training and assessment standards for the purposes of certification. This unit has been developed in accordance with the licensing and assessment requirements of NOHSC:7019 [1992].

OHSCER203A – Operate a front end loader

Course Description :

This unit involves planning the work for the prevailing working conditions, using the controls and operating systems to manage the operation of the equipment, locating the load and identifying the load characteristics, safely moving the load, monitoring the controls and stopping, shutting down and securing the equipment after the completion of operations.

The front end loader (LL) ticket covers the license holder to operate a front end loader with an engine capacity of more than 2 litres.
