Certificate III in Agriculture

Course code : RTE30103 (AHC30110)

Ag Training offers all participants the option of completing a full Certificate III in Agriculture, skills set in machinery operation and maintenance. This is a nationally recognised qualification for people in the rural industry with some expertise who want to develop advanced technical and mechanical skills. It also provides the underpinning knowledge required to apply these skills in the workplace.

This course is also suitable for owners of rural operations who want to enhance their technical knowledge and skills. It is also suitable for people with some expertise who want to enter the rural industry. Participants will learn how to organise and coordinate the procedures that employees in the rural industries must carry out as well as learning technical skills that an employee involved in a rural enterprise should possess. Participants will also be able to apply occupational health, safe working practices and quality assurance practices to industry standards.

A Certificate III in Agriculture is comprised of one (1) core units and fifteen (15) elective units.

Certificate II in Agriculture

Course code : RTE20103 (AHC20110)

This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge to work in the agriculture industry as a semi-skilled worker. Content includes: follow OHS procedures, observe environmental work practices, work effectively in the industry, and participate in workplace communications. 

A Certificate II in Agriculture is comprised of four (4) core units and thirteen (13) elective units.

Certificate III in Rural Machinery Operations

Course code : RTE31903 (AHC32610)

This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in agricultural plant operations.

A Certificate III in Rural Machinery Operations is comprised of five (5) core units and ten (10) elective units.

Certificate II in Rural Operations

Course code : RTE20703 (AHC21210)

This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge to work in the rural operations industry at a semi-skilled level. Content may include: OHS procedures, environmental work practices, work effectively in the industry, participate in workplace communications, assist with prescribed burning, carry out basic canopy maintenance, assist agricultural crop establishment and other specific content.

A Certificate II in Rural Operations is comprised of four (4) core units and thirteen (13) elective units.
